The return of this flag from the Netherlands, and the appreciation that country has for Americans who freed them from the clutches of Nazi Germany makes me proud. We the People have sacrificed and brought freedom to people all over the world and within our own borders!!! Remember that. We righted wrongs. So, stand up and be proud of our great country. I know it is popular for many to disrespect our country and flag, but again, remember what it means to people to see the United States rally to their defense and bring them the freedom we enjoy. Stand up to the haters who try to diminish our love of flag and country. We will not allow them to destroy our history!

You know that cozy feeling of holding a warm beverage, wrapped in a blanket, and curling up with a good book by the fire? That’s Kathleen Joyce’s cozy mystery…with a murder or two in the mix. This cozy mystery puts you right in the heart of beautiful Northwest America. The characters are charming and come to life off the page. The writing is superb and draws the reader in. The description of the place and the food make me wish I was there. The story will keep you guessing whodunnit.

I so enjoyed Kathleen Joyce’s new murder mystery, First of September. It transported me into a circle of longtime friends as their lives rolled with the gentle breezes, and threatening storms, of shared childhood memories. Her detailed descriptions of multi-faceted characters drew me into this story of one dynamic woman’s search for justice.

Mary Halverson Schofield, Author, River of Champions and Henry Boucha: Star of the North
A perfect cozy mystery to get lost in anywhere, anytime… The setting in the Pacific Northwest is brought beautifully into focus by the author, and is almost a character in the book. The author weaves in a wonderful set of folks with which to paint her story. You can’t help but rooting for Clare as she navigates through her own life, and the murder she knows has been committed. Twists and turns, of course, which make it fun, mysterious and a marvelously good read.
